I am forever grateful that I took ceramics this year. This is my first art show due to a sickness that I had encountered during my time in Elements of Ceramics. This course was the first time I touched clay since sophomore year. I was very rusty and struggling to find a idea for the show. That’s when researching led me to coiling. I then developed from this research an idea to attach coils to thrown pieces. I first had to throw my best pieces to serves as a base for the coils. Then I had to extrude clay through the Extruder to create perfect coils. Once complete, I slip and scored the coils to my pieces. When my pieces were fired, I glazed each one carefully. Thank you for viewing my work that I prepared for you today!
